Police are searching for the gunman who killed a man and injured a woman after an attempted carjacking on Detroit’s east side. According to Fox 2, the incident happened around 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the BP gas station on 8 Mile Road and Dequindre Road. Police are still looking for the shooter, seen in surveillance footage from the gas station.

It started when the woman was inside of the gas station and the suspected gunman tried to hit on her.  After she rejected him and returned to her vehicle, the man shot the woman and another man inside of the vehicle. The male victim died from his gunshot wounds to the chest and head.  The woman was shot in the leg and injured.

Fox 2 reports that the suspect fled on foot, but was picked up by a possible accomplice in a beige or white Buick Rendezvous.  Police believe the suspect was trying to carjack the victims.

The suspect is described as a tall, thin, black male with braided hair.  He was wearing a white t-shirt and black shoes.  If you recognize the man in the video below, call Detroit police.
