Roland Martin appears on CNN with Campbell Brown to detail the plight of African-American oystermen and fishermen in Plaquemines Parish. They are not able to make a living on the waters of the Gulf of Mexico and are being shut out of clean up contracts.

BP has brought in outsiders to aid in the clean up efforts, which has ultimately forced local fishermen and oystermen completely out of work. Roland explains what these people are saying to President Obama and General Thad Allen; you have to help the local people first.

DON’T MISS Washington Watch with Roland Martin this Sunday on TV One at 11 AM EST for special coverage of the Gulf Coast oil spill and its effect on African-Americans.
