James Heselden, the millionaire owner of Segway Inc., died in an accident when he drove one of the company’s two-wheeled vehicles off a cliff and into a river, West Yorkshire police said today.
British police say they believe Mr. Heselden died while testing an all-terrain equipped Segway and lost control and drove the machine off a cliff near his estate in Leeds.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and a Segway vehicle was recovered from the water, said Wardley.
