Any publication that has excluded Black folks in its coverage needs to reevaluate its approach because neglecting us is nothing more than a deliberate effort to leave us out of conversations we’ve most likely started in the first place. 

Only 4.8 percent of 3,817 staffed writers from the 2016-17 TV season were Black, said a new study from Color of Change.
