Black and brown politicians from Massachusetts are demanding an independent investigation into the death of Mikayla Miller, a 16-year-old Black queer girl whose controversial hanging in a Boston suburb was ruled a suicide despite lynching claims.
Mikayla Miller, a Black teenage girl, was found hanging from a tree in Hopkinton, Massachusetts, a mostly white suburb of Boston. Her mother has reportedly described the death as a lynching.
