Ohio prosecutors on Monday dismissed voluntary manslaughter and murder charges against an ex-University of Cincinnati officer who shot and killed unarmed Black motorist Sam DuBose
Ohio prosecutors said Tuesday that they will not seek a retrial for ex-University of Cincinnati police officer Ray Tensing in the fatal shooting of Sam DuBose.
After about 30 hours of deliberations, the jury could not reach a verdict.
Unrelatedly, ex-cop Dominique Heaggan-Brown was fired from the department for an unrelated sexual assault investigation.
Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters told reporters that his office will request a second trial for Ray Tensing in a different county.
