Cynthia McKinney Released From Custody In Israel

Cynthia McKinney’s mom said she’s learned that her daughter is on the way home.

Leola McKinney said a friend who contacted the U.S. Embassy in Israel reported that the former congresswoman was released from Israeli custody and taken to Ben Gurion International Airport.

“We finally got word that she was released,” Leola McKinney said late Sunday afternoon. “We don’t know what time she is supposed to fly out. All we know is that they took her to the airport.

“I would be more relieved when I know she’s on the flight,” Leola McKinney added. “But I am relieved that she’s away from there.”

McKinney had been in custody since Tuesday, when she and 20 others were swept up by the Israeli Navy while allegedly trying to sail through a navy blockade. The group says it was attempting to deliver humanitarian supplies to Gaza.

McKinney and the rest of her group could have been released soon after they were taken into custody but they refused to sign a document admitting they violated Israel’s blockade, according to McKinney’s parents. The group was due to appear in an Israeli court Sunday.

    I truly believe that this video is proof of human rights violations of the State of Isreal which has nothing to do with the “chosen people of God” becuase clearly if they were chosen then they would have mercy on the poor and displaced people of Palestine.

    Isreal continues to violate the rules of the UN and no body says anything. They must be a highly threatening state if they can bully the U.S. and the whole world while innocent people are being locked up in prison for aiding the poor people of Gaza.

    I am really proud of her. I hope she doesn’t submit to the Israel. Sickens me that the US is so blind and continue to pump millions of dollars into Israel all for what? “The chosen children of god?”

    Weapons and money will not bring back the second coming of Christ. Such false beliefs make the US citizens blind sheep led to the slaughter.

    Obama will do nothing because he, like our previous Presidents, have no backbone whatsoever.

    Jews will not be stopped until they gotten rid of all Palestinian and than, only than, will people say “Oh poor Palestine, we should have done something more.” But it’s going to be too late!

    i think any black people that support islam or believe anything that the islamic world says are evil.there was slavery in saudi arabia, which is were the 2 “holy mosques” are, until the 1960″s. yes african people enslaved in an arab country until a few years ago. wake up people, if islam comes to the us, the blacks will be massacred after the gays & the jews.
