ATLANTA — Authorities say Andre Williams, a former Atlanta high school principal who is accused of sending lewd text messages to a 16-year-old girl was arrested Monday for unlawful disposition of material to minors, a misdemeanor of a “high and aggravated nature”.

Williams was arrested by Gwinnett County Police after an investigation revealed he sent obscene material via cellphone to a 40-year-old woman and her daughter.

The teen did not attend Crim High School, where Williams formerly worked.

A spokesman for the Atlanta Public Schools said Williams was replaced as principal a few weeks ago.
