Reverend Says Gay Rights Movement Is Black America's Fight
Reverend Says Blacks Should Be Fighting For Gay Rights
A Washington D.C. pastor believes the gay rights movement is a battle the Black community should be fighting.
According to Reverend Dennis W. Wiley, gay rights are inextricably linked to Black America’s struggle for civil rights.
He added that if Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was alive he would be one of the LGBT movement’s biggest supporters.
“[I]t would seem to me that those of us who have been the victims of oppression and discrimination would be the last ones to facilitate the oppression and discrimination of others,” he writes.
