When military Lt. Col. Cotina Jenkins-Sellers returned from her tour in Kuwait, she headed straight to her son’s basketball game to surprise him.

It was a visit eight months in the making. Jenkins-Sellers’ eight-grade son, Derrick Jenkins, plays for Legacy Middle School in San Antonio.
