Tucker, who starred in the “Rush Hour” trilogy of films, was slapped with a new tax lien for $2.5 million on top of what he allegedly already owes the government, $12 million for past due taxes.
Back in 2011, Tucker reportedly got rid of two huge homes in Florida to help with his then-debt of back taxes. He negotiated a short sale on one 8,861-square-foot home before the bank managed to snatch it away in foreclosure. Tucker allegedly accepted $2 million on the $4.4 million property that he paid a reported $6 million for years prior. The other property had a $1.5 million asking price, but the 43-year-old actor settled on a $1,050,000 payment instead.
Now Tucker owes for tax years 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, and 2010, which adds up to a mind-boggling $14, 068,047.50.
A rep for Tucker, however, begs to differ, though. According to the rep, the performer just settled with Uncle Sam on Friday. The unnamed source, however, did not specify how much was paid off or whether Tucker was placed on an installment plan.
