Kevin Hart is still trending with his Academy Awards hosting debacle and he is no longer hosting the legendary show. Well, now that the comedian is out, we have another idea for hosts — Maya Rudolph and Tiffany Haddish.

The “Girls Trip” star and “Bridesmaids” star hit the Oscars stage last year to present Best Documentary Short Subject. Going off the #OscarsSoWhite phenomenon, Haddish joked, “When we came out together, we know some of you were thinking, ‘Are the Oscars too Black now?'”
Rudolph added, “But we just want to say, don’t worry, there are so many more white people to come.”
Haddish continued, “We just came from backstage and there are a ton of them back there. And not just movie stars, there are white people walking around with headsets, white people with clipboards. Now I’m personally not a fan of white people with clipboards because I’m always wondering what are they writing down about me?”
The crowd exploded with laughter, but the jokes didn’t stop there.
Rudolph said, “When you peed off a zipline in ‘Girls Trip,’ it was brilliant.”
Haddish also showed some love, “Oh my God, Maya, when you took a dookie in the street in ‘Bridesmaids,’ it changed my life! And look where we are now. It was all worth it!” They trended on social media nearly the entire night.

These two had chemistry, wit and they more than likely helped write this material. A Black woman hasn’t hosted the Oscars since Whoopi Goldberg in 2001 and she is the only Black woman to host. Clearly, Haddish and Rudolph deserve a shot. While the Oscars rarely do duos, they would certainly be better than the atrocity of James Franco and Anne Hathaway in 2011.
