The fallout continues for R. Kelly. The FBI is reportedly on the case and the parents of one of the woman allegedly in the sex cult has been contacted.

Joycelyn Savage‘s father, Timothy, has been contacted by the FBI five times in the past year and a half, TMZ reported. Timothy was most recently contacted just weeks before “Surviving R. Kelly” aired on Jan. 3.

“We’re told Timothy provided the FBI with all the known whereabouts of Kelly and Joycelyn from state to state, starting with where their relationship began, along with text messages or emails,” the site claimed. “Our sources say Timothy provided the feds with lots of the same information regarding alleged predatory behavior and physical abuse he gave Lifetime for ‘Surviving.'”

TMZ also wrote that the FBI has jurisdiction when an adult brings a minor across state lines for sexual purposes. However, it was not clear if the FBI has launched an official investigation into Kelly. Nonetheless, contacting Joycelyn Savage’s father is a sign that the accusations are being looked into by federal law enforcement.

Shortly after “Surviving R. Kelly” aired it was reported that the singer is under criminal investigation in Georgia. According to The Blast, “Since the airing of ‘Surviving R. Kelly,’ alleged sex slave Joycelyn Savage has been contacted by the Fulton County D.A. and ordered to come in for questioning related to her time with the singer. Our sources say the Savage family has been cooperating fully with the investigation.” Joycelyn is supposedly 23 years old and the singer could be charged with false imprisonment.

A reporter for the Huffington Post claimed, “The Fulton County District Attorney’s Office told me they have ‘no comment at this time’ about an active investigation into R. Kelly in response to the docuseries ‘Surviving R. Kelly.’”

Executive produced by Dream Hampton, the docuseries “Surviving R. Kelly” detailed accounts from people in Kelly’s circle, including the singer’s brother, Bruce, who said Kelly had a “preference” for young women and singer Sparkle (the aunt of the 14-year-old in the sex tape) who testified against him in court.
