The One Story highlights the unfortunate intersection of America’s broken immigration system and the country’s notorious criminal justice system by speaking with activists from the Black Alliance for Just Immigration; hearing from a young man facing deportation because he was born in Senegal but came to the U.S. with his family at the age of three; and discussing mass incarceration and the big business of rounding up and detaining undocumented immigrants.
