In a surprise move, President George Bush, pardoned former Fugee affiliate, John Forte last night. Forte was arrested and sentenced to 14 years for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute after he was caught with $1.4 million of cocaine in 2000.
It is not yet known exactly why Bush pardoned Forte, but I could be do to the efforts of Carly Simon and her son Ben. Forte worked a back up singer for Simon and was close with the family. Another reason Bush could’ve pardoned Forte is that they both attended the prestigious Phillips Andover academy.
