U.S. District Court Judge Richard Leon ruled that Omarosa Manigault Newman is still on the hook for more than $61k for failing to file financial information required by all White House staffers who leave or are terminated from their positions.
The announcement that the Department of Justice intends to sue Texas for its recently enacted anti-abortion law was being hailed by Black women, in particular, who are disproportionately affected. But the lawsuit is not enough, one group said.
The U.S. Department of Justice has sued the State of Georgia, the Georgia Secretary of State and the Georgia State Election Board for passing a law that makes it harder for Black people to vote.
