Mainstream media has saturated photos of thousands of Haitian migrants seeking asylum gathered in Del Rio, Texas, but few outlets have shown Border Patrol on horseback hunting down the migrants to deport them in pictures that evoke images of slavery.
Ahead of the 2020 election, there was much talk about Trump and his inhumane treatment of those seeking asylum. Advocate groups have not let up on demands for humanitarian treatment for asylum seekers simply because there is a new president.
