It’s funny how frequently Black people find themselves ridiculed for purportedly feigning victimhood (insert whines about “playing the race card” and whatever euphemism others use to describe Black folks just being honest) and yet it’s mostly the most privileged people walking the Earth who complain the most. I had already pegged Michael Dunn to be an obnoxious, condescending, entitled prick. That is, on top of being a cold blooded killer. Thanks to Florida prosecutors who released audio of his jail calls, we can add “sucker” to the list. The worst sucker imaginable.

It’s not enough that we have once again been reminded that white fear trounces value of Black lives and that laws are designed to maintain that status quo for the sake of a gun lobby’s efforts to sell some damn guns and bullets en masse out of greed. Now we have to contend with the reality that, on top of this man taking Jordan Davis‘ life away simply because he didn’t like being challenged by a Black kid and the high volume of his hip hoppity music, this waste of humanity considers himself to be the victim in all of it. And not just any victim, but the kind who suffers from the worst sort of victimization.

As reported by NewsOne, in a December 2012 phone call with his fiancee, Rhonda Rouer, Dunn compares himself to a rape victim, arguing that the detectives wanted to blame him for the shooting, not Davis and his friends. You know, given he was the one with the gun, he was the one who shot at these teenagers, and he was the one who took someone’s life. I can’t imagine why law enforcement would dare challenge the man holding the gun versus the people whose bullets he sent their way.

Dunn laments to Rouer, “So not to wallow in, you know, despair or anything, but you know I was thinking a lot about this today and I was like I’m, I’m the victim here. I was the one that was being preyed upon and I fought back.”

What a pathetic, vile, self-aggrandizing somebody Michael Dunn is. My fury only intensified after reading what else he had to say:

“And then, you know, it’s not quite the same, but it made me think of like the old TV shows and movies where, like, how police used to think when a chick got raped, `Oh, it’s her fault because of the way she was dressed.’ Yeah, and I’m like, so it’s my fault because I asked them to turn their music down,” he said in a laughing voice. “I got attacked and I fought back because I don’t want to be a victim and now I’m in trouble. I refuse to be a victim and now I’m incarcerated.”

If only I could be like a Looney Tunes cartoon character and drop an anvil on the very top of Michael Dunn’s head. The same can be said of George Zimmerman, another killer who considers himself to be a victim.

Yes, in an equal dose of balls and utter stupidity, Zimmerman says in the CNN interview that should not have happened, ”I certainly was a victim when I was having my head bashed into the concrete and my nose broken and beaten. So I wouldn’t say I was not a victim.” And when questioned about his cries of victimhood by Piers Morgan on Twitter, Zimmerman offered the response, “God bless you. I’ll pray for you.” More, he claims that now only God can judge him.

I hate that I’m even acknowledging either one of them, but the boldness of these persecutors positioning themselves as the persecuted is infuriating. These two are not victims. They are killers. I don’t want to wish violence on another person. That would make me as bad as them.

Still, f**k them both.
