Wendy Williams has been on air less than a month and it’s already been a bumpy ride. The talk show host was slammed for not clearly addressing why she missed nearly three months of her show and she had a serious feud with Howard Stern. Now Williams has emotionally opened  up the after effects of struggling with a cocaine addiction and living in a sober house.

The talk show host said on air yesterday through tears, “I have been living in a sober house. … You know I’ve had a struggle with cocaine in my past. I never went to a place to get treatment … there are people in your family, it might be you … I want you to know more of the story.”

She continued, “Only Kevin knows about this. Not my parents, nobody. Nobody knew because I look so glamorous out here. I am driven by my 24-hour sober coach back to a home that I live in the tri-state with a bunch of smelly boys who have become my family.”

Watch below:

Williams vanished from her show in December. Love B. Scott exclusively reported that although the chat fest was renewed through 2020, the future of the show beyond that season was uncertain and that “concerns over Wendy’s health are clouding chances for any further renewal.”

Love B. Scott also claimed Williams was struggling with self-medicating. Radar Online wrote that Wendy can “barely stand at times” and her friends said there’s a “major problem.”

The site said it received a cease and desist letter from Wendy’s lawyers, asking to remove the story that her husband had another woman pregnant and she was filing for divorce. The letter stated, “Mrs. Wendy Williams-Hunter and Mr. Kevin Hunter categorically deny each and every allegation made by your ‘sources’, even if not specifically enumerated herein.”

The letter was a bizarre twist considering the daytime TV diva has made a career out of talking about other people.

After a series of guest hosts, Williams returned at the beginning on March 4.

We hope Wendy gets better soon.
