While the economy is gradually rebounding, a new poll found that some Black people are still struggling. According to the November Temperature Check Poll from Black to the Future Action Fund, 42 percent of Black adults described their financial situation as "bad." And one-third of respondents reported their financial situations have worsened. 

Secretary of Labor Marty Walsh sees the legislation as an essential pathway to improving opportunities for workers and families. Walsh says the Build Back Better framework was an opportunity to address some of the significant issues that surfaced during the pandemic, particularly as it pertains to Black workers and their families.   

The House of Representatives on Tuesday passed a bill to strengthen U.S. traveling restrictions for citizens from 38 countries.
