Black News

While Ketanji Brown Jackson got her legal training at Harvard, her elevation to the Supreme Court opens the door for Black talent everywhere to get the recognition they deserve, especially in HBCU law schools.

Republicans tried their damnedest to upstage the Senate vote confirming Ketanji Brown Jackson and reinforced the disrespect they've repeatedly directed toward the person poised to become the first Black woman U.S. Supreme Court justice.

Senate Democrats were joined by Republican Sens. Mitt Romney, Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins in advancing Jackson's nomination.

Graham just voted to confirm Jackson last year for another judicial position with a lifetime appointment.

It's one thing to disagree with and clarify points of contention with a given nominee. It Is entirely different to inject debunked claims and distortions into the confirmation process.

Looking to score cheap points, the GOP equated a Black woman with liberal leanings as being the boogeyman Republicans claim is destroying America.

A new generation of Black lawyers showed up to support Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson's confirmation alongside Black public defenders and other legal professionals.

By attacking public defenders, Republican Senators at Ketanji Brown Jackson's confirmation hearing are attacking the guidance and supervision of the administrative oversight provided by the United States Courts.

Black women are more than fixers of institutional disaster.
