On Wednesday, presidential candidate Hillary Clinton joined The Tom Joyner Morning Show to answer questions about her campaign and her support of Black America.

The roundtable discussion featured host Tom Joyner, co-host Sybil Wilkes, and journalists Don Lemon, Jacque Reid, and Roland Martin.

Here are a few highlights from this exclusive TJMS interview:

  • Tom Joyner asked Clinton how she will support Historically Black Colleges and Universities if elected – “I admire and respect the roles that HBCUs play.”
  • Roland Martin asked about Clinton’s support for small businesses owned by African-Americans and women  – “I particularly want to be the small business president for women and minorities.”
  • CNN’s Don Lemon asked Hillary Clinton if she started the “birther” claims about Obama during the 2007/2008 election and whether she had a confrontation with the President over it – “It is totally untrue.”
  • Jacque Reid asked about Planned Parenthood and why it’s important for the country, particularly African-American women – “Planned Parenthood has been taking care of women for so many years.”
  • Sybil Wilkes discussed endorsement from civil rights leader Andrew Young – “I’m really honored to have Andy Young’s support.”
  • Wilkes also asked about a social justice reform campaign “We ought to be looking at what we’re going to lead on social justice by admitting and taking on systemic racism that we still face in America.”
