Coupon Carl, whose real name is Morry Matson, is about learn the price of not minding your business, just like Permit Patty did.

In case you missed it, on Saturday, July 14, Matson, a CVS manager in Chicago, was caught on video calling the police on Camilla Hudson. He was shaking and appeared terrified—all because she wanted to use a manufacturer’s coupon.

Officers arrived and obviously this was a waste of taxpayer’s money. CVS spokesperson Mike DeAngelis said in a statement, “We sincerely apologize to Ms. Hudson for her experience in one of our stores. Our Region Director in Chicago contacted Ms. Hudson as soon as we were made aware of this incident. CVS has begun an investigation and we will take any corrective action that is warranted to prevent it from happening again.”

No word on what the punishment, if any, will be for Coupon Carl. However, there are more details coming out about him. Matson was a delegate for Trump’s 2016 campaign and he’s a candidate for 48th Ward alderman in Chicago. He has  described himself as a “law and order” candidate on his campaign website and is a member of the  Log Cabin Republicans, a group for gay Republicans. But Matson also has some criminal behavior, he was busted for forging signatures on an official election ballot measure.

DNAInfo.com reports Maton was advocating for a waterfront bike path to a beach near his own home that would not create traffic from “people from the South Side.” However, the majority of the signatures for the ballot measure were forged — five of the 14 pages. Raw Story reports an opponent of his expensive bike path said, “I laughed out loud on the bus. I said, are you kidding me? You just submitted this without even thinking anybody would look at it?”

Matson admitted that “he had signed some of the signatures himself” and even used the address of the CVS where he worked for names. In addition, “Matson also told a local news site that he illegally collected the signatures over the span of a year, instead of in the allowed 90 days.” His bike measure was thrown out because of “a pattern of fraud, false swearing and total disregard of the requirements of the election code.”

Just like Permit Patty, Coupon Carl is about to lose what little he has, and we suggest he gets locked up for trying to undermine democracy by forging signatures—especially since a Black woman went to jail in Texas for accidentally voting in 2016.
