The government has been shut down for 2 weeks. Trump cannot negotiate in any capacity and yesterday he even threatened the government could be shut down “months or even years.” In the middle of all this, Trump finds it in his soul to tweet at sunken place rapper Kanye West.

On January 1, Kanye West wrote on Twitter, “One of my favorite of many things about what the Trump hat represents to me is that people can’t tell me what to do because I’m black.” As if Kanye, who is a “proud non-reader of books” ever listened to anyone because he is Black. See below:

Trump clearly loved this and tweeted, “Thank you to Kanye West for your nice words. Criminal Justice Reform is now law – passed in a very bipartisan way!”
Trump needs to focus on reopening the government, not tweeting celebrities who stroke his toxic ego.
Also, in case you forgot, back in August, Kanye apologized for the redhat, which is a clear call to white supremacy. Kanye babbled, “I don’t know if I properly apologized for how the slavery comment made people feel. I’m sorry for the one-two effect of the MAGA hat into the slave comment, and I’m sorry for people that felt let down by that moment. And I appreciate you giving me the opportunity to talk to you about the way I was thinking and what I was going through.”
Trump and Kanye deserve each other.
