Earlier this week, Ben Carson finally made a good decision as the secretary of the department of Housing and Urban Development. The former neurosurgeon said he would resign after Trump’s first term. Now he changed his mind.

In a long Facebook post he wrote, “I am not leaving.” He then babbled, “I am committed to completing my full term as HUD secretary and will continue to serve this President enthusiastically. Like all secretaries, as required by statute, I will resign after the four-year term. Hopefully we will have turned this ‘aircraft carrier’ around by then.

He continued, “If not and President Trump desires that I continue, I will feel a duty to do so and would consider serving another term. By the way the average tenure of a HUD secretary is 2 1/2 to 3 years.

He also said, “Like President Trump, I joined the federal government in an attempt to preserve the freedom and quality-of-life in America that we have experienced, for those who follow us.”

Let us remind you how Carson has preserved “the freedom and quality-of-life in America.” He was accused of demoting an employee for not approving extravagant office renovations, including a $31,000 dining room set. There are accusations his family was too involved at HUD, emails proving he has lied and even reports of Carson using taxpayer money for private planes.  In addition, there were Obama-era polices that would help people out of poverty, which he claimed Americans are “too comfortable,” that he blocked.

Not to mention he is blind too Trump’s racism.

When discussing Michael Cohen calling Donald Trump a racist before the House Committee on Oversight and Reform, Ben Carson defended 45.

According to Politico, Carson said, “I think Cohen is trying to ingratiate himself to the people who hate Trump. I’ve never seen anything that even remotely would remind me of racists, and believe me, I recognize a racist when I see them.”

In case you missed it, during Cohen’s opening remarks he said about Trump, “He is a racist. The country has seen Mr. Trump court white supremacists and bigots. You have heard him call poorer countries ‘shitholes.’ In private, he is even worse. He once asked me if I could name a country run by a Black person that wasn’t a ‘shithole.’ This was when Barack Obama was President of the United States.”

He continued, “While we were once driving through a struggling neighborhood in Chicago, he commented that only Black people could live that way. And, he told me that Black people would never vote for him because they were too stupid.”

As for Trump’s clear racism, housing discrimination lawsuits from the 1970s, the racist birther movement against Obama, the Muslim travel ban (a federal judge said it was racist), the Central Park Five (Trump called for the execution of five Black teenagers with a full page ad in the New York Times in 1989), saying a judge of Mexican heritage could not do his job because he is Mexican and constantly attacking Black public figures (Jay ZMaxine WatersJemele HillColin Kaepernick, etc.), but ignoring people like Eminem… just to name a few.

Carson and especially Trump is a threat to America’s freedom. Good riddance to the both of them in 2020.
