Israel shelled the United Nations headquarters in the Gaza Strip on Thursday, engulfing the compound and a warehouse in fire and destroying thousands of pounds of food and humanitarian supplies intended for Palestinian refugees.

Al-Qaida chief Osama bin Laden urged Muslims to launch a jihad against Israel and condemned Arab governments as allies of the Jewish state in a new message aimed at harnessing anger in the Mideast over the Gaza offensive.

Senior writer for the Daily Beast, Max Blumenthal, went to the recent Pro-Israel rally in Times Square and interviewed several of the participants. He uncovered a lot of anti Palestinian hatred and disregard for the civilians lives lost in Gaza.

The U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights called Friday for an independent war crimes investigation in Gaza after reports that Israeli forces shelled a house full of Palestinian civilians, killing 30 people.

The UK Guardian is reporting that sources in the Obama camp have revealed that they plan on abandoning the Bush policy of isolating Hamas and will try to engage the organization in dialogue.

Israeli jets and helicopters bombarded Gaza Friday and Hamas responded with a barrage of rockets on two cities as both sides defied a U.N. call for an immediate cease-fire.

War is a horrible state to live in.  It is not about who started it; it’s about stopping the killing. While people may debate about who is wrong and right between Israel and Hamas, no  one can debate the horror and terror being inflicted on innocent civilians. Check out the images after the jump.
